Corra Para La Sombra / Run For The Shadow

Tuvo que trabajar tarde anoche. Cuando salí miré al cielo del sur y vi un destello sostenido de relámpago. Fue hermoso, durando un buenos 8 segundos, combio las nubes un dulce pastel azul. Nunca vio el relámpago, sólo el resplandor en las nubes. Cuando terminó, un buenos 5 segundos más tarde, el retumba trueno me dio la vuelta. Aliviaba de algún modo. Me hizo recordar que fue mis cumpleaños cuando me paré allí. Entonces esta noche, poco antes de la medianoche, tenía mi puro de cumpleaños y miraba al norte, sucedió otra vez. No tan largo pero igualmente hermoso. Quizá pienso demasiado de yo mismo, pero, sintió como Dios me deseaba bien en el día de mi nacimiento. Estoy agradecido.

Had to work late last night. When I got out I looked to the southern sky and saw a sustained lightning flash. It was beautiful, lasting a good 8 seconds, turning the clouds a sweet pastel blue. Never saw the lightning, just the glow in the clouds. When it finished, a good 5 seconds later, the low rumbling thunder rolled over me. It was somehow comforting. It made me remember it was my birthday as I stood there. Then tonight, just before midnight, as I was having my birthday cigar and looking to the north, it happened again. Not quiet as long but just as beautiful. Maybe I think too much of myself, but, it felt like God was wishing me well on the day of my birth. I am grateful.
